The Ricardo Palma historic house is situated in a fishing village, tranquil in the winter (March to mid-December) and lively in the summer (mid-December to February). The house is situated in grass gardens without car traffic. Except for the occasional gardener’s vehicle and random joyful Peruvian outburst, the area is peaceful.

Our retreat offers women the opportunity to simply write, discuss process, and receive non-critical observations from a small community of English-speaking writers. The chair, Rosalee, is an American writer who has owned the renowned historical Peruvian writer’s house for the last ten years and wants to share this special place with other serious writers. The co-chair, Jessica Federle, will be your contact person.

We welcome you to the beautiful, creative, striving world of yourself.
